Christopher Meyer, M.D., FACS
Dr. Christopher Meyer is a graduate (Summa Cum Laude) of the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Meyer completed his surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, and moved to Central Florida in 2004, where he has been dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care in General and Vascular Surgery.
During his training in Vascular Surgery, Dr. Meyer realized that patients with venous disease were being ignored by the medical community. Although patients suffered from pain related to varicose veins and venous disease, they were told that its treatment was merely cosmetic, and not a medical issue. As a result, Dr. Meyer started Volusia Vein Specialists in order to service the vascular health needs of patients across Central Florida. Dr. Meyer is dedicated to the care and cure of venous disease ranging from varicose veins, chronic swelling, venous ulcers, and spider veins.
To cure these conditions, he uses cutting edge, minimally invasive medical procedures. These include Endovenous Laser Therapy, Phlebectomies (vein removal), Sclerotherapy, and the VeinGogh Ohmic Thermolysis System.
Dr. Meyer is also founded of the Vein Academy that trains physicians from all over the world on both the EVLT and Radio Frequency procedures for varicose veins. The Vein Academy is located in Winter Park, Florida. See www.vein-academy.com
